Day 2

It rained all day as we drove yesterday. Texas is a BIG state. We finally made it to Shreveport at about 6 pm. We stayed in Monroe, Louisianna last night. Thant is MUN-roe, not mon-ROE. We learned that at the I HOP. It is beautiful this morning. Overcast, but warm. We passed through Fort Worth and wiped a tear and kept going. Only 19 hours to go. We will pass clear through Mississippi today. More tomorrow.

I am totally relating to you right now. I left my "babies" back in Arizona. After raising the chicks and finally getting eggs, man it was hard to leave them behind. I too had a garden that I had worked hard to raise. Sad thing. So much effort and no harvest. But...silver lining here is everything grows without much effort and the season is just ready to begin planting.

...physically and mentally!
